Abby's Peace

So, Jack wasn't napping so well yesterday and was shrieking as he does and Abby was eating goldfish.

She sighed, and told no one in particular, "I like it when its peaceful."

I laugh, "And its not peaceful anymore?"

Abby looks longingly into her goldfish and says, "Jack just makes it full of screaming."

Small Miracles

Jack is the cutest eater since... well any other baby that eats. He loves cheerios, desperately tries to grab for Abby's Eggos and...

miracle of all miracles willingly eats baby food: Peach Rice Banana today.

Abby's Mountain Top

So, after a month of three ultimate play dates a week, Abby came to terms with the end. She missed her friends. She was sad. She suggested that perhaps we can do it again... all the time. I think we need to watch closely that she doesn't join a commune throughout her life. She *really* *really* likes people... a lot.

Abby and the Bee

Abby had her first bee sting last night - luckily she was with her grandparents who carried her around and made much of her.

She told me about it when she got home.

And there was this moment where she got very solemn, very heart felt, very very serious.

"I think... when I did that [stepped on the bee]" she is reluctant to continue, "I think I made it died."

:( poor sweetie. She thinks nothing of ordering the execution of flies, but perhaps being the cause feels different.

Jack-Jack

I LOVE this:
It's his new response to "peek-a-boo"... in other words, "wait a second, I can still see you if I just crane my neck..."

And:
He is still very much on his way to walking. Crazy kid taking after his father. He has two months to reach his father's "record" to walking... That's... what... September? That feels fairly far away... maybe it won't be *that* early....

As luck would have it, as Jack grows, he is becoming more and more like his namesake. Not a real person, but (for me) Jack-Jack from The Incredibles.

He's so cute - his own personal sign... for "pick me up, more, or bravo" is to clap. Right now Abby is sliding (and crashing) on the floor on oversized pillows. Jack loves it and claps it up to try to keep her going.

Abby... "I believe"

Abby kept waking up tonight... dreaming. Muttering in her half-waking state.

Steve, trying to get her out of whatever cycle she was in, asked her what the matter was, why was she upset.

And she said, "I'm just sad I can't fly"

Alien Butterflies and Climate Confusion

Some proof of Abby's climate confusion

- this was her choice of pajama tonight. That's flannel. And ... let's see it is... not cold here.

Abby has been taking her first art class and has been producing some VERY cool things. Today's project was to make butterflies. I mean look at this line up. And look at this face... he's really got some personality.
